Employee Holidays to increase

Payroll Institue Survey reveals increase

The Institue of Payroll Professionals (IPP) have conducted an survey of employeees that suggests over one third of employees did not take their full holiday entitlement in 2009 compared to four fiths who intend to take their full allowance this year.

Full Time workers are entitled to at least 5.6 weeks holiday per year and it is the responsibility of the worker to take their holiday entitlement each year.

Each employee should ascertain whether there are arrangements to carry over unused holiday time. Employees should also be aware that they must follow the correct process when applying for leave.
